missed my munchkins...

today was a long day, the longest i have been away from the babes for school yet. we have been getting out of clinicals around 5 or so. not anymore we have to be there at 630 am and we leave at 730 pm. critical care, high acuity, hard core, block 4!!!!! aah. today i was in CVICU (cardiovascular ICU) it was awesome. i never thought of myself as a critical care nurse but i really enjoyed the fast pace. i was able to go to my patent's surgery in the OR, CABG, coronary by-pass graft was the procedure. it was crazy to see the heart beating and the lungs breathing, total open heart surgery, CRAZY, but cool!!! after the surgery I was able to follow my patient to the CVICU and watch him recover, it was interesting. (those nurses are amazing)

anyways, i really missed my little love bugs today. i love them so much and just think they are the cutest little boys ever. i am so grateful for them in my life, it wouldn't be complete without them. i am so grateful for a hubby who works 12-13 hour days and is sacrificing being away from his family to be a good provider. i am also grateful for my wonderful bestest friend, my mom, who was at my house for b-fast, lunch and dinner taking care of my most prized possessions. 13 hours to be exact and never complained once. How could I survive without wonderful people in my life, oh wait- I couldn't!

My boys have been just growing up so fast, they are so smart! They have really picked up their vocab within the last couple months. They don't talk full sentences, but they can say everything and totally communicate with me. We have been working on their colors the last few months. For a few weeks now, they have known their colors. Porter knows red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink, white, black, and brown!! He totally knows them so well. He even asks for everything with a color! His favorite color is yellow. And you would die if you heard him say it, it's the cutest thing in the world!

Hunter knows his as well red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, white, black. He just doesn't know pink or brown yet! I love how they won't turn a page in the book until they tell me every color. So cute! Hunts fav color is BLUE!!!
