A few more traditions...
first we had a little elf come visit us this year.
The kids were a little suspicious at first! Hunter got up the next morning found him and touched his leg then repeated..."mom he feels fake" oh only Hunter. Mr. observant. Porter was a little worried too he came home the next day from school and didn't want to go in the house cause "the elf is in there and he watches me". They weren't as excited about him as I was. But once they warmed up to him it was fun and they LOVED finding Charlie our elf!
The next tradition was cutting down our first Christmas tree! We might not get the chance to do this every year but I hope we can as much as possible. This was a great experience. The boys loved it and it was such a special time for us to do this together and work hard together to find the perfect tree.
We made a little trip out of it and enjoyed a night away from home. We had a nice dinner and then we all went swimming in the heated hotel pool. The boys were in heaven, I think they enjoyed that more so than finding a tree. Then the next morning we had a nice breakfast and headed up the mountain to find our tree.
We borrowed Brandon's boss's ranger and it was so nice to have it. It was freezing though!!!
It took us awhile but we finally found our tree!!!
Brandon cutting it down.
Porter holding it up for Brandon.
Finally getting to decorate it!!
Here is our lovely tree. We loved it!! So glad we chose to do this!
Another tradition that we love is the Mesa Temple lights!!
We had a fun time going with some friends in our ward this year! Here are the boys with their cute little friend Preston.
We just love this time of year!!
